HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER:
NEW MEMBERS CLASS IS EVERY 5TH SUNDAY
 

  1. RECEIVE Jesus Christ as my Savior and profess Him as Lord

  2. OBEY the practice of Baptism

  3. JOIN a New Members Class to discuss statements, strategy and structure

  4. COMMIT my life of following Jesus and serve as a member of FBCC

WHAT IS EXPECTED AS A MEMBER?
 

 

At First Baptist Church of Cypress we never ask our members to do more than the Bible teaches. We expect our members to obey what Jesus command​s every follower of his to do. These responsibilities and practical commitments are spelled out below in the Membership Church Covenants.

1.  The Membership Covenant is a commitment to CHRIST and to His CHURCH.

  • I Will Protect the Unity of My Church  (Romans 12:4-5, 15:5;  Ephesians 4:29;  Hebrews 13:17) 

2.  The Maturity Covenant is a commitment to the HABITS necessary for growth.

  • I Will Share the Responsibility of My Church  (2 Peter 3:18; 1 Timothy 4:7; 1 Thessalonians 1:2;  Romans 15:7) 

3.  The Ministry Covenant is a commitment to discover and practice my Spiritual gifts and abilities to SERVE God and others.

  • I Will Serve the Ministry of My Church  (1 Peter 4:10; Romans 12:6-8; Philippians 2:3-7)

4.  The Missions Covenant is a commitment to SHARE the Good News with others.

  • I Will Support the Testimony of My Church  (1 Peter 3:15; Hebrews 10:24-25;  Philippians 1:27;  Leviticus 27:30;  1 Corinthians 8 & 9)
